Coffee Morning

We continue to meet together on Wednesday mornings at 10.30am to have a catch up and a laugh! We had a good crowd last Wednesday! Everyone is very welcome.  I have a funny feeling that at the end of our meeting last week we were ‘Zoom Bombed’! So, I have changed the meeting ID and the password. This is no longer be a recurring meeting but will have a new ID and password every week.

Bible Study

We are having a week off from our Bible Study this week. We hope to see you next Wednesday. Zoom details will be in next week’s update.

Flower Festival

Thank you to all those who have sent in photographs. We need some more. Remember the deadline is 6 July! You do not have to be a brilliant arranger! You just need a container and some flowers! The festival will be held over 10 – 12 July 2020. To join in, please create a flower arrangement and then photograph it. Send your photograph with your name etc to Dawn Williams. If your photograph(s) are difficult to send, you might need to use WeTransfer which allows photographs to be sent more easily. The theme we have chosen is ‘Faith, Hope and Love’.

Holiday Club

It is with great sadness that we have to cancel this year’s Holiday Club. Do please continue to pray for the children of the Exe Valley.

Church Office

Steve is gradually getting to grips with things! Steve is available on his home phone 01884 821232 on Monday mornings from 10.30-12.30am. Steve is also coming into the Church Office to work on Wednesday and Friday mornings. He will also be sending out the weekly reflections and updates. If you do not receive the order of service, reflection or update please let the office know.

Church Opening

I have been meeting with Wardens to put together risk assessments for opening our churches for private prayer and for services. This is an ongoing and ever-changing scenario – accompanied by masses of paperwork! We will let you know how things unfold!

This Sunday’s gospel reading seems particularly relevant to me. It’s Jesus' wonderful invitation to us all: ‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.’ (Matthew 11: 28) May we all accept Jesus’s invitation and find the rest we need.

With my continued love and prayers,

Steph
