Coffee Morning

Even though things are slowly changing, we continue to meet together on Wednesday mornings at 10.30am. Although some of us are able to get out and about more, it is not true for everyone, so it’s good to keep this contact going.  Everyone is very welcome.

Schools

As schools start the new school year this week, let us pray for our local schools, for the staff and children. We will continue to take Messy Church to Rackenford School on a weekly basis. Please pray for us, the staff and the children as we learn and worship God together.

Church Opening

We are have started to open up one of our churches for Holy Communion at 11.15am.

This week we will be at Templeton and next week, 6th September, we will be at Loxbeare.

It will be essential that you book a seat in church via the church office, or email or by leaving a message on the answer phone by 11.00 am on the Friday before the service. Further details will be sent by email or put on the website during the week. Government guidance asks us all to wear face masks when in church.

The Conference Call service and the Zoom service will continue at 10am.

Harvest PumpkinsHarvest

It will be of no surprise that our Harvest Celebrations will be a little different this year – and yet we still need to give thanks. There will be an open-air Group Harvest Celebration at Calverleigh on 13 September 2020 at 3pm – weather permitting. Everyone is very welcome, but please let the church office know if you are planning to come.

In addition, we are planning some further services, which will be online and can be accessed via our website.

The first Exe Valley Online will be Exe Valley Online Harvest and will be available to view from October. This will include harvest songs, prayers and photographs taken locally. Hopefully there will be places you recognise! We would love to include as many photographs as possible, from around the Mission Community. Maybe you have a photograph of something that sums up the Harvest season? It could be a photo of vegetables you have grown, chutney you have made, apples in your garden, tractors in the field… the possibilities are endless. Please send your photographs to Dawn Williams  by 19th September 2020.  dawnannwilliams1@gmail.com

If your photograph(s) are difficult to send, you might need to use WeTransfer which allows photographs to be sent more easily.
If you know of any children who would like to take a phot or create a harvest picture we would like to include those too. My thanks to Stephen Roche for all his hard work.

Please be assured of my continued prayers as we seek look towards the future.

With my love,

Steph
