Sunday Service

Back we go into lockdown. Thank goodness we can still meet and worship together with our Conference Call and Zoom service! We are looking forward to it.  This week’s service of Morning Prayer will also include an Act of Remembrance, at the usual time of 10.00am.

Please see the Resources page for connection details and service sheet

Coffee Morning

We look forward to meeting again this week at 10.30am. Come and join us if you are free.
We will share silence together at 11.00am.

Please see the Resources page for connection details

What’s ahead

Sadly, our churches will no longer be open for public worship.  We will receive further guidance after 2 December 2020. If you wish to use your church for private prayer, please contact your local church warden.

Remembrance

A big thank you to all who contributed to our online Harvest celebration. Our online Remembrance Reflection should be available this week on the Exe Valley Mission Community website. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this. We hope you find it thought-provoking and comforting, especially as we are unable to mark Remembrance Sunday as other years. Sadly, we know that watching things online can be difficult for those of us with slow broadband speeds. Please let us know if this is you!! We can provide you with a copy on a memory stick. Contact me at the Church Office or Dawn Williams and we will try and sort it!

Bible Study

The Bible study resumes on Wednesday 11th November at 7.30pm on either Zoom or Conference Call.

Please see our Bible Studies page for details of how to connect.

For the next four weeks we will be looking at the worldwide Anglican church and celebrating its diversity. ‘Living with a World of Difference’ celebrates what it means to be part of the Anglican Communion, which is the world’s third largest Christian community, after the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches. We are part of a worldwide family of tens of millions of Christians, from more than 165 countries across the world. It’s exciting! It’s diverse! It’s our family! Join us in the run up to Advent and find out more.
There is a study booklet to accompany this series. Please let the office know if you are planning to join us and we can either send you or email the material.

Church Office

Steve’s operation has been postponed, but because of lockdown he will be working remotely. This is not without its challenges! If you wish to speak to Steve he will be available on 01884  821232 on Fridays 9.30am -12.30pm

Steph will be working from the church office. Do please email or leave a message on the answerphone if you need to speak to her.

Advent Celebration

Sadly, we are also having to cancel our Advent Service on 2nd December at St Peter’s. Hopefully we will be able to do something similar at a later date.

A Month of Prayer

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York together with the Bishop of London are asking us to use this month of lockdown as a month of prayer.

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning this week you are welcome to join us for Daily Prayer on Zoom and Conference Call at 8.30-9.00am. Robert and I will be joining with Justin Montague and Andy Humm (St Paul’s and St George’s) to lead this time of prayer. It might be helpful, if you can, to find the service for Daily Prayer on the Church of England’s website or to download the App Daily Prayer on your phone, tablet or device.

To join us please use our usual Conference Call number

or to join us on Zoom, click here or enter:

Please check on the website for the most up-to-date information.

It’s easy to think that everything has stopped once again, and it’s hard not to feel despondent. This cheered me up this morning:
